Since the beginning of our Break Tributes series, we've aimed to celebrate the people, moments, and stories that helped shape breaking culture.
For the fifth edition, we wanted to explore a theme that has always fascinated us: iconic duos.
In breaking, crews often define generations. They create movements, build identities, and leave a lasting mark on the culture.
But behind many legendary crews are partnerships that have had just as much impact.
Duos that inspired generations of dancers through their chemistry, creativity, and unique approach to breaking.
The Power of Contrast
What makes a duo memorable isn't necessarily how similar the dancers are.
More often than not, it's the opposite.
Two different personalities.
Two different visions of movement.
Two different approaches to breaking.
Yet connected by the same passion and the same desire to grow.
One dancer brings energy, confidence, and presence.
The other brings concepts, innovation, and technical depth.
One pushes forward.
The other reshapes the rhythm.
And when that connection is real, something special happens.
The partnership becomes bigger than the individuals themselves.

Part 1 and Part 2 of this Break Tribute series explored several iconic duos whose influence can still be felt throughout the breaking community today.
Menno & Xisco
Among the many legendary partnerships in breaking, the relationship between Menno and Xisco stood out to us.
Not because they approached breaking in the same way.
But because they didn't.
Their differences became their strength.
